If your base race is Halfling however, you get a racial bonus for hide/MS.

The point made is that CoT gets weapon focus as a bonus feat, so you can just take weapon focus unarmed during a CoT level... or go duel kukris with its bonus feats.

haha good point but unarmed dont count as a melee weapon, i took club for my monk build :cry:

There is no need to take weapon focus unarmed if you have the epic robes, you get that for free if I remember correctly which will save a feat even though you can't use the robes until lvl 33 or 34.

With 4 levels of CoT, I get 9 pre-epic feats, and with ascension you can purchase more feats as needed. Like catalyst said, halfling gets bonus to hide/ms v. larger creatures so that wouldn't be a bad option.

Actually, now that I think about it, the robes may have weapon specialization unarmed instead of weapon focus. I'll have to check when I get off work lol

You're right the second time Catbird, and in any case it doesn't matter.

Feats from items do not allow you to take feats or classes that you would not qualify for. So for instance, you find a nice bow that has Point Blank Shot on it. You still need to take the feat to start taking Arcane Archer.
